Learning

I am learning how to do this blog thing.  I've had this for a while but we will see how this turns out.
I have officially started reading Wuthering Heights, painting for fall, and looking at houses :)

A little about me, I'm Meaghan (hence the title), I'm 24, Short, Irish, Catholic (Jewatholic) I have a huge family, 15 aunts and uncles total, and 19 first cousins (that's Catholicism for ya.) I have a brother named Ryan, a boyfriend named Tad, 2 cats (Tobin and Millie), and a turtle (Josephine), that I have now pawned off on my niece, Ava. To top it all off I act like my Aunt Cindi, I look like a good mix between my mom and dad so they can't denying me and say I'm Cindi's, when I'm nervous I talk like my Gram (who's from Boston actually my whole family is.)

Most likely this blog will be about one of the many things I've mentioned.

Crafty Me

So I decided to get crafty last weekend and make a fall sign for Tad and I's front door!

First, I went the easy route, instead of hitting the board with a bag of nails I hit the nail to the board with the hammer. Since this is a white wood it's soft.   I got the board from Hobby Lobby ($8.00)

Then I began to stain the wood,  I got the stain ($4.00) and brush ($1.00) from Lowes. The color is called "Autumn", I used only 1 coat and used it sparingly.  Use a cheap brush because stainer ruins them.

Next I used a mix of acryilic paint colors I got from Hobby Lobby.  I got an orange, yellow and white.  Ranging from 6-3 dollars per paint.  I got the more expensive because I can tell a difference in color and texture.

Then came lettering, TA DA! Finished Product.

This weekend I'll be doing some Pinterest projects so keep posted!
