Crafty Me

So I decided to get crafty last weekend and make a fall sign for Tad and I's front door!

First, I went the easy route, instead of hitting the board with a bag of nails I hit the nail to the board with the hammer. Since this is a white wood it's soft.   I got the board from Hobby Lobby ($8.00)

Then I began to stain the wood,  I got the stain ($4.00) and brush ($1.00) from Lowes. The color is called "Autumn", I used only 1 coat and used it sparingly.  Use a cheap brush because stainer ruins them.

Next I used a mix of acryilic paint colors I got from Hobby Lobby.  I got an orange, yellow and white.  Ranging from 6-3 dollars per paint.  I got the more expensive because I can tell a difference in color and texture.

Then came lettering, TA DA! Finished Product.

This weekend I'll be doing some Pinterest projects so keep posted!
